Installation of ECC 6.0

We are in the process of installation of SAP ECC 6.0 system. OS: RHEL5, DB : MaxDB. Solution Manager is already present in the physical server.

We are installaing ECC as a second instance on our physical server.

While installing ECC sapinst is not asking for MaxDb installation directory.

Where will the database software for Maxdb will be installed?

Also it is not asking for if Database should be MCOD or not.

Hi,

I have already install ECC 6.0 and SAP Solution Manager on one physical server.

The DBMS MaxDB is already install with SAP Solution Manager. You can't install an other DBMS.

The ECC 6.0 sapinst detect automatically the current DBMS and use it for the new installation.

You only need the define during the installation the Database ID !
