Hello,

just FYI, the Kagermann/Küting - Book (2nd edition !!) will HOPEFULLY be aviable mid or end of year 2008. They pushed it 4 times now (AFAIK).

I guess because of those current and past changes of the SAP strategy.

Till then BCS is not that important anymore ; ) (fun)

This is also a good book, but I think it is only in German aviable... Only BCS 4.0, but very easy to read.

I think the book just came out, but did you have a chance to look it through?

Would you recommend it to someone with limited German accounting experience?

I went just through the 1st book (by Dobler etc.).

If you are a complete fresher in SEM-BCS, it might be useful for you. However, I would valuate the book at 4 in 10-point scale. Very much info is just taken from sap help. Pictures are often not informative. For example, in CoI section you'll see mainly logs after run the consolidation. No at-equity method in examples at all, just purchase. Etc.
