repeated updations in receiver

Hi all,

Is there anything we can do in XI(either by java pgms or something else) to avoid multiple updations or duplicate records in receiver database (other than having any such in sender or receiver as primary key vallidations)?

This problem is not there earlier with BC.Please help.

Thanks,

Durga.

U may make a jdbc lookup which retrieve the data based on some primary key value at the database. In case, u get a value for the primary key specified, u may come to know whether this value has been inserted earlier or not.

This field can be mapped with any target field based on which the condition could be provided in the receiver determination case.

    Hi

As per my understanding about u r query, With out any interaction from Sender/receiver you want to remove the duplicate records of that payload.

If it is yes, i have also done the same in File2Idoc scenario, for this i have developed a Udf's.Inputs to this UDF are all the fields.I have concatenating all the fields by a Separator and added into Vector.I have checked whether the same string is present in vector or not.If there is no duplicate of that string i have added that record by splitting with separator into diffrent Vectors.I have mapped the values from these vectors to Idoc fields.

In this way i have done the check on duplicae records.

You can also do the same in u r case.but the issuess are the duplicacity check is applicable for that current payload only. There is a chance the same data has been already processed and updated into u r databse.

Hope it will helps to you... 😊

    Cheers

    Veera
