AMC mappng for work orders

I work for a large utility, and we want to allocate the right cost of maintenance against the job performed. The material cost is captured correctly through a requisition route via work order. But, some external services cost gets missed out because the contracts are lump-sum contracts and AMCs which are across multiple equipment and across a lot of jobs/ work orders.

Hence we are looking for ways to assign a single contract against multiple work orders without keeping the orders open till the end of contract, so that the right portion of the cost gets booked against the job done.

Please suggest a process to map the AMC or lump-sum services cost to individual work orders.

If the orders are closed (CLSD) then you will not be able to post costs to the order. You would therefore need to reverse th CLSD status and then post the costs to the orders. Then settle and re-close those orders.

An alternative is to journal the costs from the current cost object over to the settlement object in the selected orders (e.g. the settlmnt cost centre). Tak to your FICO team who should be able to help.
