Cross-Docking functionality in ECC 6.0

Hi,

We are implementing ECC 6.0 and we want to use cross-docking functionality. It is asking me to activate Service Parts Management. I am new to ECC 6.0 and I don't know the implications of activating service parts management. I would appreciate if someone could tell me the effect of activating SPM.

Thanks.

Hi Aktar,

When I am trying to run transportation and cross-docking monitor, it is giving me an error that "The function is not supported for the current system configuration" and it is asking me to activate SPM. Do you have any idea why it is asking me to activate SPM? I would really appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Hi,

In Cross Docking, if you want to do TCD - Transportation Cross Docking, then you need to activate SPM, if you activate that, it is not going to affect at any point in configuration.

If it is Planned or Opportunistic Cross Docking, u don't need SPM.

Hope it is helpful.

Hi,

For Cross Docking in ECC 6.0, you don't need to activate SPM. Let me know what exactly is your requirement.

Thanks

I have a standard setup/config for cross docking functionality. However, all the outbound deliveries are getting dumped in the Alert monitor with error "Del - Release time in past". I tried changing the delivery dates but no success.

Should I remove the object class (571), which checks for the Delivery release time, from the alert monitor? Any advice on how to fix this issue?

All responses will be rewarded.

Thanks !
