Anil,

If you are looking to send a email for a work item that is created, then you can just use extended notification to send email to the user's Outlook inbox. Is it what you are looking to do? Then try transaction SWNADMIN.

I've worked on a similar set-up. Extended notification is your solution. You need not have a send mail step at all. Just in agent assignment use the rule you have created. The work item will be sent to the user's SAP inbox. Then goto SWNADMIN and configure your category, selection and subscription settings. Then the user will get a email in his/her Outlook inbox.

The email will be sent to the user with the work item text (entered in the task's basic data tab) as the subject and the task description as the body of the email. The email will also have a HTTP link that starts SAP GUI for Windows. The user can click this link to be taken to the work item in his SAP Business workplace.

Hi Krisnan Kumar ,

when i try to run SWNADMIN , it opens an Interexplorer screen and says the "Expected URL Could not be retrived".

The link it opened is : http://lonnieepq01:8000/sap/bc/bsp/sap/swn_config/index.htm?

What for this transaction. I am also intrested to know more on extended notification . Please elaborate in detail.

Thanks in advance!

I know it is difficult to search, but if you do search SDN on extended notifications you will get some documents on this explaining almost everything.
