Hi ,

If I have to maintain product allocation in GATP at customer heirarchy level then is it necessary to populate customer heirarchy in Sales Order ?

I think Sales Order should have the Customer Hierarchy information probably mapped into one of the Additional Data tabs under schedule line details of Sales Order. Since Customer Hierarchy is one of the characeristics in APO, it should be possible for sales order to sit in appropriate CVC for consuming allocation in GATP.

Thanks for your reply.

If the Customer Heiarchy is updated in the Sales order is it automatically consume the allocation or do i need to do any other seting except correct CVC.

Secondly ,

Do you know what are setting will be required if I need to add any new field like " EVENT " in Product allocation.

Actually I need to map EVENT with Customer heirarchy via customised table.

The requirement is, while booking sales order user should know for what reason the alllocation is mainatined. If it is for "Xmas " then the charecterestic value of EVENT will be "Xmas " And certain customer hieuarchy will be mapped with this event.

my proposed CC in this case is

Xmas/ Cust Heirchy1 / SKU1 - 100

Other / Cust Heirarhy2/ SKU1/- 200

It would be very helpful If you have any standard documentaion of how to add a new field in Allocation ?

Not sure if I understood this correctly.

Once you define your product allocation object and then group, you would need to assign Product Allocation Group to the right set of characteristics. Eg. EVENT or Cust Hierarchy in your case. Note that these are supposed to be defined as distinct planning characteristics in the GATP planning area. The association between the Product Allocation Group to the planning area is done through SPRO setting on maintaining connection.

I would recommend you would need to explore user exits to pass on the information on EVENT or other kind of unique GATP relevant characteritiscs along with the sales order. The allocation setup should be able to dissect this information.
