Problem faced when asset listing S_ALR_87011964 Report is downloaded.

I ran an asset listing, S_ALR_87011964, for the following asset class 2000 for one of the company with assets in these asset classes, in SAP i am getting the report correctly. But when I downloaded the report, assets with special characters in the description, multiple assets were lump together in a single cell, the special characters interfered with the delimited area.

Hence it is effecting the report.

If anybody knows about this issue please help.

When you click List > Export> Local File, Choose spreadsheet.The special characters will not be interfered. Then save the file with a name in your local directory.

Hi,

You can overcome this problem simply as below.

After you download the asset details to excel sheet, you observed that at some point of time, all the details are store in single cell.

Take that last asset number, where all details are stored in a single cell and goto as03 and remove the special characters for that asset number. If you feel that there are no of assets like that, take the help of abaper and request him to debug to find out the list of assets with special characters.

Ex: plant and machinery,

Remove that special character(,) and save the data and then download the report once again, then you will get all asset details properly.
