Hi,
I have a couple forms that I made that prints packing slips to a specific printer in the office. We have an application located in a cloud server that we RDP into. When we RDP all our local printers are shown, including the packing slip printer, except the printer names have a (redirected #) at the end.
Because the printers are renamed when we RDP, Crystal Reports is not able to recognize the printer that we need to use for packing slips. It defaults to printing them to pdf. How do I fix this problem? Is there a way to get CR to recognize the printer names with the (redirected #) at the end?
Thanks
I'm using Crystal Reports XI
I have the printers intalled on the Local PC but how would I map them on the remote server? The remote server is located in Michigan, if I remember correctly, and our office is in Illinois.

What version of Crystal are you using?
The solution is to install the printers on the Local PC and then map them to the Server printers.
Don't use the Redirect, Microsoft has issues when using it. It is supposed to download an inproc version of the printer driver but that causes huge delays. Work around is to use Citrix or install the printers locally.
