Account - Extension field with OBN Link

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement to add an extension field - Campaign to Account TI and map it with OVS and to have a link on it, so on click of it opens the Campaign TI. I hope I have done all the required configuration, but it seems not working, Need someone's help..

1. Change ID Field Configuration, I have mapping to open in OVS, and also OBN configuration

2. The Outport configuration

3. On the Account TI - te extension field is visible, but it displays as a normal disabled text with no link.

Please let me know, if i have some missing configuration.

Hi Gayathri,

The campaign link is greyed out may be cause it is not able to find the OBN inport in the target UI.

For the OBN to work, both target and source should use the same operation. Since Campaign TI does not have any OBN based operation to Open, it is not possible to link using extensibility explorer.

The other way is to add Campaign ID via an Embedded component and use thing based navigation. Note that - there could additional roundtrip for embedded component to load and could cause overhead on performance.

Thanks Pramod,

That was correct and I was not checking if Campaign TI has the OBN configured.

Unfortunately, I can't have this extension field in the EC, because users would like to personalize it, and if I set it in an EC this will restrict them to do so.

Hi,

You can enable personalize/adaptations on custom UIs by adding stable anchors.

All you have to do is create open the EC in UI designer-> Properties and add the anchor under extensibility section as shown below

You need to add the anchor at all levels

Section group, Form Pane, Pane Container and EC.
