Web Dynpro Visual Editor at NWDS 7.1: Can't display page

Hello,

I'm new at Web Dynpro Java and like to develop a simple WD app. I used the NWDS Web Dynpro perspective and created a Web Dynpro component including a new application. When I click on the layout button of the created view a DNS error of the internet explorer comes up that the page cannot be displayed.

Does anyone have a clue what that is?

Hi,

The problem is because of a secutiry path in IE7. Hence the view designer faces problems and doesn't render.

Follow the note: 1140402.

Extract from note:

Solution

1. Download newer security patch from Microsoft - KB944533

2. Install the patch & restart your machine.

Workaround to overcome the issue(Incase you are not able to Install

KB944533):

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Goto "File" menu and check "Work Offline".

3. Close & Reopen the View Designer.

(Note: After switching to Offline mode, you won't be able to browse

simultaneously. You have to Uncheck "Work Offline")
