Request for changing user password cant be accomplished

I have configured SAP Web AS 6.4 with siteminder for SIngle Sign On(SSO). The set up is working fine and i am able to do SSO for SAP Portal. But when i change the user settings in Visual Admin as "Change Password when next log on" for an user and then try to access the Web As application then the Password change prompts. After entering the details this message is displayed on the screen :

"Request for changing user password cant be accomplished"

"Details: The server hasn't forced you to change the password or the session is lost"

Can any one tell where i am wrong or the concerned areas for this issue

    Hello David,

Didn't get your requirement. You are using SSO and still want to leave the window for prompting for password change open ?

Single sign on means single time password input and no need in future again unless exceptional.

PS: Would suggest that you open a new thread in security forum as well. They will figure it out much better.

In normal run this behavior of SSO is fine. But if the user via which we are performing SSO to any Web AS application has this property of "Password change when next log on" enabled, then the expected behavior is that the password change page is displayed. Once the new password is entered, the user can have the normal access to Web AS application.

But in my case, the last step is not working fine for me. I am not able to change the password.
