Asset Depreciation Term (OAYZ)

Hi SAPPERS,

I have existing Asset Class and Asset Master Data already created some. But the Depreciation Screen Layout under OAYZ had not been created at the time the Asset Master Data were created. Now, The depreciation has been assigned and worked for new Asset Master Data, but not for the existing. How to affect this setting to existing Asset Master Data? Same thing also happen when we tried to deactivate depreciation area under OAYZ, and it only affects new Master Data, not the existing one.

Thanks in advance for your kind explanation.

The changes in the Dep. Area Screen Layout rules apply to prospective assets.

You can retire the main asset and create a sub asset for the main asset to reflect the changes in screen layout.

      Hi Andreas,

      Thanks for replying.

In AS02 itself, i can see the Depreciation Tab, but no field to be posted (all blank). Is there any way to show the effect of new assignment there?

      Thanks,
