SAP BO Webi report List of Values displays message

Hi,

I am using BICS connection for my Webi report to get result from BEx query instead of using Universe in Webi report, everything works fine but while refreshing webi report the LOV i.e. list of values for each and every dimension object whether I keep in Prompt or in Query filter shows message in the LOV instead of displaying values in LOV.

The only option is to type * to retrieve all records or else type any character starting or ending with * like we do for Match Pattern operator.

Is there any setting which can remove such messages from LOV and work in normal way of displaying values in LOV instead of displaying such message and user typing * to search.

Sorry my bad. LOV's are loaded only for hierarchical objects.

This is by design. LOV's are not automatically displayed if Prompt is Optional.

If you want to display automatic then you need to either make the prompt mandatory or just go for search option in LOV.

Hi Amit,

In spite of keeping prompt as mandatory, still it is displaying same message in the LOV.

In below screenshot, OPCO is kept as mandatory, but still it shows message in LOV.
