How can we connect to Eclipse Neon ABAP perspective with SAP SSO ( Single Sign On ) with using username and password logon ?

I have tried using the SSO logon but my system ID is 4 character long but the eclipse takes only 3 character as input.

Please suggest if there are any other ways to do that

The 3 character "System ID" would be the System ID of the SAP system, the "SID". This is not the same as the User ID, which would be your personal logon ID.

Could it be that you are merely confusing the fields there?

Hello Jorgen,

Yes, I am taking for SID for SAP GUI connection, in my System its 4 Char long whereas neon only accepts 3 char.

I was not aware that it was even possible. What kind of system are you running?

  • The ID must consist of exactly three alphanumeric characters. Only uppercase letters are allowed. The first character must be a letter (not a digit).

We are using Eclipse with SSO and it works perfect.

You may try to install the 32-bit version of Eclipse and Java. As far as I know the 64-bit versions stil don't work with SSO.
