Regarding "Reported-By" field in service desk message through Notif_create

Hi,

When I am raising the service message through Notif_create in solman with my userID and I am checking the same message through "CRM_DNO_MONITOR" its automatically not taking the "Reported-By" field.

But if I am raising the message through satellite system through my userid in satellite system and looking for the message (CRM_DNO_MONITOR) in Solman its picking the "Reported-By" field.

Can Anybody guide me with regards to this pecularity .

Do I need to have any configuration done to pick "Reported-By" field while raising message through Notif_create in solman

Hi all,

I have the same problem. Everything is customized (at least I think so) but the Reported-By field is neither filled (sapgui nor webgui). Any ideas?

May be you haven't added Solution manager System in identification tab of Business Partner as you did for Sattilite systems ?

I have created Business Partner automatically for my userid (ANANDA) for Dev, QAS, PRD systems through Transaction Solution_manager>Edit>Create business partner and after that I have maintained the Employee role only once for my userID's in Dev ,QAS, PRD manually.

So do I need to create Business Partner manually for my Solman userID (ANANDA) too through TCode BP and assign it the role Employee.

I am really not sure bcz Employee role is maintained only once for an UserID.

You have to maintain Employee role only once, but you can add multiple identification numbers in idenfication tab of business partners (general).

Pick your BP, go to edit mode. ( in general Bussiness Partner) and add

SM1 00203XXXX 200 ANANDA

(SM=Solution Manager, next system number and client and login name)

I have added one more row as

SSM 00203XXXX 200 ANANDA

in the Business Partner Identification tab

but still its not picking up the "reported-by field "

I am having a doubt wht should I add in "ID TYPE" column of the grid .I have selected "CRM001" from ID TYPE column from the drop down-list and the entered

SSM 00203XXXX 200 ANANDA in the Identification number column.

But still of no use.

ID type is correct. What do you have on your external BP number in that tab ?

I sure 200 is the Solution Manager client number...which should be correct.

I have entered SSM 0020XXXXXX 010 ANANDA in the identification number where 010 is the client number.

Still the same problem.

Still reported-by field is not getting picked-up.

I am really not able to understand where exactly is the problem.

Hi Atul

Try this :-

Select "Employee" entry from the dropdown list of "Change in BP role" in identification tab.

There enter your SolMan ID in User Field and then save it....

Hope it works.....
