Hi,
I managed my first report to run with Business View and don't quite understand how the elements match in both programms.
For example, formulars defined in my Business View were not visible in Crystal Reports, although the Business View is used as source of the report. After I generated a Business Element and added each formular as a field of the Business Element, the whole Business Element appeared as a selectable data source in Crystal Reports like a table and the formulars are shown as columns.
So what's the difference between formulars in Data Foundation, Business View and as fields in a Business Element? Is there a general translation, which object (parameter, filter, Formular etc.) defined in which level (Data Foundation, Business View, Business Element) can be used in Crystal?
Any ideas are welcome!
Some information is available here:
Crystal Reports can see objects from Business Views as fields/columns and does not see formuals. It also see Parameters from Data Foundation, but does not see Filters. You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
