PPM user status for PPM Project management (project definition object)

Hi PPM colleagues,

I have customized an user status profile for the Project Management (project definition).

Is it possible by customizing or any change in the front end UI to link and set an unique user status as default and the user does not need to select a status profile every time a new project is created?

I am using the project type "item" that cames from the portfolio item creation by selecting the icon "create project on saving" so it generates the project.

Once the button "status management" is selected the screen appears with the status profile entries option, I would like to have it already selected somehow as default.

Other question will be about why the system displays the default system status (eg "Criado") together with the status profile created (eg Idéa Recomendada)... the screen shot bellow is in Portuguese to represent what I am explaining.

Is it possible to show in this status field only the status options that came from user status created and avoid to bring the default system status (1st word "criado").

Please advice.

    Hello Fábio,

If you want a certain status profile to be assigned to the project upon project creation or project copying, you can achieve this by implementing a relevant logic in BAdI DPR_ATTRIBUTES (methods SET_DEFAULTS_UPON_CREATION and/or SET_DEFAULTS_UPON_COPYING). You can check the description in SAP Note Nr. 950392 (which introduced this functionality) for additional information. Please also review the description of SAP Note Nr. 1809956 which provides additional information concerning the options when copying a project.

With regard to your other question concerning the display of the system status together with the user status, I am not aware of any way to avoid this standard behaviour. The user status exists in addition to the system status and not instead of it, so the system will display both.

    Best regards
