ISO code from Greece

according to the ISO standard 3166-1, the ISO code for country Greece is "GR".

The specific of the intrastat file to send to Italy fiscal authotity required that the code "country of destination material " for Greece must be "EL".

The standard program RVEXDAII, used to generate the file to send to Italy fiscal authority, read the "country of destination material" from ISO code in table T005 field BESTILAND.

This is not correct because in the file the country code must be "EL" and not the ISO code "GR".

For now, in our system 4.6c, the ISO code in tabe T005 for Greece is set to "EL", this is not formally correct but the intrastat file is generated correctly.

This configuation generate a problem when we need to insert the IBAN code ia a greek vendor master data: the system generate the error BF00 025 "Bank country and ISO code of the IBAN are not identical". The first two letters in the greek IBAN code must be "GR" and the system check the IBAN with the iso code (GR vs EL) and generate the error.

I would appreciate your urgent help.

An old OSS note says that EL is a wrong customizing: 560795 - INTRASTAT: country code 'EL' reported for Greece
