Hi Gurus,
I started learning APO demand planning recently.
There is a background job that runs and populates consensus forecast before it pushes the data to ECC. What I observed is- in the job steps there is a weird program name and I couldn't figure out what it does. I checked with Basis Lead and he has no idea. Unfortunately there isn't much documentation.
Can someone please explain me what this does? (below screen shot)
Hi Arjun,
In DP and SNP there're many generated programs.
If you check it in SE38, the first lines shows which template is used for the base of generation.
I can tell you the program usage if you paste those first lines for me.
Please also refer to my blog post https://blogs.sap.com/2014/12/31/error-generating-program/
I think it will help you to understand more about this - however it may be too technical for end users.
You can also re-generate or reset timestamp of these programs using report /SAPAPO/TS_PSTRU_GEN
Best Regards,
Ada

Hi Ada,
I read your blog and it's very helpful. Below is the screenshot you asked (I hope).
If it is a generated program I don't see the need to setup in a batch job. Please advice.
In the below screen shot-
Step 2 is creating proposed consensus by using Demand planning/Marketing and Selected input in DP planning book.
Step3 is doing something.
Step4 is creating CVCs for the PIR planning book.
Step9 is creating consensus forecast in DP planning book
Step13 transfers consensus forecast from DP to PIR planning book
Step14 transfers consensus forecast from PIR planning book to ECC
