Hi All,
SAP MII architectural question...
When building an integration between SAP MII and SAP ECC, what is the recommendation, put PI in the middle or not ? eg
MII to PI to ECC
MII to ECC
Are there any best practices or recommendations from SAP ?
I am hunting documentation to understand what SAP recommends.
Thanks and best regards,
Andy Silvey.
I think there are some blogs or white papers out there but they are more focused on MII vs PI. I see MII is an "intelligent" integration engine and PI more a wholesale message broker. Unless you have some insane volume, want an extra buffering level or DMZ, already have some process in place going thru PI, or have some complex distribution at either end I wouldn't recommend sticking PI in the middle.

Christian
