system copy same sid

This is the possible for the same *sid* for the Quality and production server .

any problem if taken lisence from the same SID. From SAP

must be unique...

you will run into troubles...think about transporting objects from one system to another having the same id? what about original system? and so on...and: one license for both systems won't work and - by the way - violates terms and conditions what's the problem with using different IDs?

Hi Venkat, there's a database procedure to make System Copies.

You'll find it at http://service.sap.com/instguides (SAP Netweaver -> SAP Netweaver 7.0 -> Installation -> System Copy for SAP Systems)

I have install the same sid name production and quality server,

can i change the sid in quality server ,withoust loss of any data in quality server,

which database you used on windows?

for changing SID you need to perform homogenous system copy.

we are using oracle 9.2.0.0.7 o/s windows 2003 enterprize edition with sp2.
