We installed Crystal Reports Server v.2016 on RedHat Linux 6.8 (Linux 2.6.32-642.4.2.el6.x86_64) and CMS database on a remote Oracle 11g Database. We have issues viewing/running reports on the server, but they work well on the client. We tried both 32/64 bit Oracle clients as suggested in previous posts, without luck.
Question 1:
We would like to know if Crystal Reports Server 2016 is actually compatible with the version of the OS we are using. Because, we successfully installed and use a Crystal Reports Server v.2011 on RedHat 5.5 without making many configuration changes, that we tried on RedHat 6 to make it work.
Question 2:
Also the native drivers shipped with Crystal Reports (v.2013 and v.2016) do not automatically load in the newer version, but on the older version (v.2011) they can be seen loaded (using lsof) as below:
boe_cryst 11247 /export/cs2011/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/linux_x86/crpe/libcrdb_jdbc_res_en.so
boe_cryst 11247 /export/cs2011/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/linux_x86/crpe/libcrdb_jdbc.so
boe_crpro 12905 /export/cs2011/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/linux_x86/crpe/libcrdb_jdbc_res_en.so
boe_crpro 12905 /export/cs2011/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/linux_x86/crpe/libcrdb_jdbc.so
