Hi Experts,
If we don't have developer key for the PI server(SP 09), then we can't do BPM scenarios. Is it true?

You don't need an ABAP developer key to create XI objects (even BPMs). You do need XI developer roles within your user, though.

Hi Henrique,
After we activate the business process both in IR and ID, it should be displayed in SXI_CACHE. Right?
After activation the business processes are not displaying it in the SXI_CACHE. Java to ABAP replication is not happing in my server.
I am not facing any issue with the normal scenarios. Only for BPM scenarios, I am facing issues.
And mainly Admin ppl not created developer key for the server due to some OSS Id issue.
Please suggest me, if you have any points for my problem..
Regards
Sara
Hi Sara,
Please see whether your Business Process Engine is in green /yellow state in RWB.
Maintain Prefix Numbers ...
Check Number Ranges ...
Check Entries from HR Control Tables
Activate Use of XML Object Types ...
Configure RFC Destination ...
Maintain Workflow System Administrator
Maintain Active Plan Version ... Details
Maintain Time Units ... Details
Schedule Background Job for Missed Deadlines ...
Schedule Background Job for Work Items with Errors ...
Schedule Background Job for Event Queue ... Details
Schedule background job for clearing report ... Details
Set Up Workflow Runtime
Above all entries should ideally be green state in self test status?
I am not admin person, but we need to do some after installation configuration for BPE on application server to make BPM in working state.?

Hi,
You need a developer key to activate the workflow generated by XI/PI when you create a BPM.
it's the case when your BPM is not in status 00 but 99 or 02.
Go to SXI_CACHE, choose it, activate it from 99 to 02 and a second time from 02 to 00. To do that SAP will ask you a developer key.
That's why I say a developer key is needed.
I know that a oss note explain that since some years, but sorry I don't have it.

Hope this help you

Hi Sara,
as you had previously said yourself, maybe there is some communication problem between ABAP and Java.
Please test the connection of the XI RFC destinations.
Also, run a SLDCHECK.
In order to refresh the runtime objects, run a full CPA cache refresh and a full cache refresh in SXI_CACHE.
Regards,
Henrique.
