Restoring deleted Workflow template

Hi Experts,

I have mistakenly deleted the standard WF template WS2000077 from my Dev system.

Is there any way through which i can restore it?

If i am not able to restore it, will it create any issues?

Regards,

Aayush Aggarwal

If is is in use, it will create issues because it will no longer work.

If it is not in use, no problem.

You can transport it from another system, probably needs to be done as a repair.

Hi Mike,

Could you please explain on how can i transport it from another system, as the WF template has been deleted in Development?

Same way as any other object. Either do a small change or add it manually to a transport.

If you don't know the object type, create one and look at the transport request. In your case it will be R3TR / PDWS / 2000077

As it isn't on the transport path, you will have to do a Transport of Copies. Please get Basis to help you with that.

Thanks Mike for the prompt response.

So, are you suggesting a transport movement from Quality to Development?

Yes, any system on the same version / patch level.

Hi mike.pokraka

can you please send me a guide how to bring my workflow-builder to its standard setting as I changed it instead of making a copy of it in our develpment system

Thank you!

Hi Adil,

Sorry I don't know offhand where the settings are stored. They would be in a table with entries linked to your userID. You could change a setting with an SQL trace, then delete the table entries 🙂
