DG (Dangerous Goods) Indicator Profile

In Material Master, Basic Data2 view -> Under Environment TAB, there is a field DG indicator profile, I want to configure values for this field.

In SAP Standards, i want to know what kind of values are maintained for DG indicator profile?

Could you please suggest me?

Hi

the DG indicator profile can only be used if you have Enviornment and health and safety (EH&S)is present in your system. it is basically used in EH&S module.

Hi,

Below are the basic DG profiles present in EH&S

001 Relevant for dangerous goods, checks, and documents

G00 Relevant for dangerous goods

G0P Relevant for dangerous goods and documents

GP0 Relevant for dangerous goods and checks

GPP Relevant for dangerous goods, checks, and documents

And if you want to create Z DG profile then goto SPRO-- Environment, Health and SafetyDangerous goods checkCommon Setting--specify indicators profiles for the material master.

Apart from the 5 profiles you have mentioned(Since its already configured), could you please let me know what are other profiles in SAP standards maintained as DG indicator profile?

Hi,

As i have already told you the standerd pre-configured DG profile, if you want other DG profile you need to configure those but DG profile given by SAP are enought to fulfill your needs please go to the configuration where you will have better view of what DG profile contains.

I completely agree with your comments.

Actually i require this SAP standard dangerous goods to add as charateristic value for one of the French classifications maintained in my company's MM -> classification view.

For this, i already have 3 codes like

1. Flammable gas

2. Non Flammable gas

3. Flammable liquid

I need to know what are the other ones maintained as dangerous goods in SAP standards so that it comes under any one of the 5 profiles that you have mentioned in previous reply.

Please let me know, if the query is not clear.

Hi,

i completely understand your query. but if you go to cutomizing for DG profile you will come to know that only these 5 profile are enough for any company. if you need other which you think if it is not fitting your criteria you can create your own. but in Std SAP only 5 DG profiles are pre configured.

Hope i have missed in my question, what i really want.

Let me explain the scenerio i am having:

There is a class:FR03_XST_LOCALDATA, for this i need a new charateristic like Z_FR03_ADR_CLASS to which i have to add values related to dangerous goods.

Values - For example 1. Flammable Gas, Non flammable Gas, Flammable liquid.

I want to know like the above ones, in Standard SAP, which are all maintained as dangerous goods.

Please suggest me.

Hi,

if you are using DG as just the charecteristics values for your materilas then you need to ask the clents regarding this as they will be exactly knowing what type of DG profiles are mantained for their industries. and infact i have not used such kind of charecteristics in my experience.
