Initilaization

Hi all,

Now i am doing initialization for purchasing in R/3. i delted the deltas in RSA7. i deleted the setup table. now i have to initialize the data.

1) why shud i delete Deltas in RSA7?

2) Do i need to Run V3 Job?

3) hOW TO RUN V3 JOB?

PLEASE EXPLAIN ME

Hi Madhu,

you mentioned that you deleted the setup tables. So, you have to load the setup tables and then initialize the data. To answer your questions:

1. why shud i delete Deltas in RSA7?

A: Otherwise, you can not load the setup tables.

2. Do i need to Run V3 Job?

A: The logical order of steps is as follows (after deleting the setup tables):

Step1: Load Setup Tables

Step2: Initialize data into BW

Step3: Schedule the update jobs

Step4: load deltas.

Now i am loading data in to purchasing cube.

in r/3 first i deleted purchsaing related request in R/3.

and the deleted setup tables for purchasing.

filled the setup tables for purchasing.

when shud i run v3 jobs? How to run?

Cud u plz explain me that? the process i mentioned above,is it right?

Hi Madhu,

You need to start the update jobs any time after you do the initialization in BW (get an init pointer in RSA7). You can do it using tcode LBWE. For purchasing, click on "Job control" and set the start parameters and schedule the job with the required frequency.

Now, you load the init data into BW and then start the update Jobs.
