Hi,

We are planning customize ESS and our ESS version ESS 600 SP9 (NW2004s)

I created New Track in NWDI and I added software component SAP_ESS 600 to my track.

Then I did check in SAP-JEE 7.00, SAP_JTECHS 7.00, SAP_BUILDT 7.00, SAP_PCUI_GP 600 and SAP_ESS 600.

But I could not able to view source code in NWDS inactive dcs. Please suggest me.

The following blog explained about adding SAP_ESS 100 software component and checkin SAP_ESS 100 SCA file to track.

/people/vinoth.murugaiyan/blog/2007/08/24/essmss-customization-150-make-it-simple

Shall I need to choose same SAP_ESS 100 software component and check in SCA file to my track?? Please help me.

Regards

Srinivas.

To which section of the track definition did you add ESS 600?

Pascal,

I created a track and then added Software Component SAP_ESS to the track.

Choose Runtime system and then save the track.

Check in SAP-JEE 7.00, SAP_JTECHS 7.00, and SAP_BUILDT 7.00, and SAP_PCUI_GP 600 and SAP_ESS 600

Imported SAP-JEE 7.00, SAP_JTECHS 7.00, SAP_BUILDT 7.00, SAP_PCUI_GP 600 into Development

But I am having problem while importing SAP_ESS 600, it took long time (2 hours) and finally came out with message "import failed"

When I checked the log file

"Caused by Exception:com.sap.tc.cbs.client.error.InternalServerException: CBS Server Error: Internal server error( internal code: INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR):CBS Server Error: Internal server error( internal code: INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR)

com.sap.tc.cbs.client.error.InternalServerException: CBS Server Error: Internal server error( internal code: INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR)"

Also I tried with another track and I was getting different error while importing SAP_ESS 600.

I am getting 500 internal server errors with lock exception error.

Could you please tell me, if I am doing any thing wrong?

Srinivas

Perhaps you can find an answer in all the other ESS import problem threads. One of the last I read talked about DB stats optimization.

I'm not a database administrator so I don't know how to do it, I can only think of what it does. Please talk to your own database administrator.

Sangeetha,

Yes, I already went through JDI/NWDI Cookbook for ESS/XSS.

Good to know that you are able to import ESS at least after 8 hours, but here I am getting 500 Internal Error after 1 hour.

Could you please mail me (srini117us@gmail.com) steps you performed for ESS import ? I just like to make sure, if I miss any thing from my side.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Srinivas.

Sreenivas, can you please let me know which version of software component needs to be added to the track ...

SAP ESS 100 or SAP ESS 600 ??

And what are all the files we need to copy to Inbox folder of the CMS?SAP_BUILDT,SAP_JTECHS,SAP_JEE and wat else?

Please let me know,

Thank You,

Hari.

Hi Srinivas,

You can refer the attachment to this note to check if you have followed the right steps:

SAP Note 872892 JDI/NWDI Cookbook for ESS/XSS

Also, the import for ESS usually takes several hours. (For me it was 8 hours).
