So i tried to create a customer exit that can change through 2 situations
the first one is to be able to take data from all possible values inside that characteristics

While the other one is to give it blank/"#" value so that it can become input ready

the code is something like this

l_s_range-low = ''.

l_s_range-sign = 'E'.
l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.

l_s_range-low = ''.
l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.

else.

l_s_range-low = ''.
l_s_range-sign = 'I'.
l_s_range-opt = 'EQ'.
APPEND l_s_range TO e_t_range.

But when i try to run the query i got generic "Error for variable in customer enhancement"

For variable setting i use
customer exit, multiple singe values, optional
I already tried to trace the problem, and that exclude portion makes the error (Already tried using 'I'+'NE' too)

What should i do to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

customer exits are defined to set default values (before userinput) or to change valuefilters depending on user input ((after userinput) or to run in background to grap a filtervalue from within the BW system. They are not meant to set include/exlude a filter. you can not play with the parameter if you set by default input. By default the user can set include/exclude themselves if you define your variable as selectionoptional
