Hi Expert,

I don't have a lot of experience in SAP PI so i came to validate one scenario i want to implement.

In sap PI, i need to upload a file from a 'inbound' folder of one SFTP, do some data conversion and download the file in the 'outbound' folder of the same SFTP.

My questions are:

1-Is this possible?

2- How to trigger the upload when the file will be ready in the 'inbound' folder? it is a job? A parameter when configuring the communication channel?

3-How to handle the conversion in this scenario. I read somewhere i need to use the FCC(file content conversion) for that. Is it something available with the add-on 1.0 (PI-Secure connectivity )?

3- Do you have some links that can help me?

i found some links related to the SFTP to SFTP scenarion but without the conversion and i do not understand how the trigger working.

Any helps?

Thanks a lots

Hi Arthur,

I am not sure why you want to do it using PI but it is pretty much possible using File PI adapter if you are using local ftp server. You can use SFTP if file is places on a local sftp server. You can follow SFTP sender and Receiver channel configuration based on your requirement, you will need to create files structure / Mapping as well if you want to perform transformation.
Follow this URL for SFTP Channel config - >
