Custom based HU number

Hello Gurus,

Can we have the custom based HU number based on certain criteria????

Hello,

Yes we can have custom based HU number, that is an external number range for HU.

The only thing is like alpha numeric number range in material master we cannot have the same in HU number range. If still you want to have you can keep only numeric external number range, use some other field for alphabetic entry & then concatenate both to have single HU number.

The requirement is to have first two digits representing some project, next two digits to represent the year and remaining some sequential number. The requirement is somehting like this... is there a way to implement the same????

Is there any userexit using which you can genrate the alpha numeric number rage for HUs based on certain criteria???? It shud be automatic not manual......

Hi Pavan,

We had a similar requirement. The requirement was to print carton labels with the HU Number + additional req of the same type.. Since the requirement was for Label printing, ABAP form development came to our rescue. These 'prefixes' to the HU Number for carton numbers were concatenated through the ABAP Form development.
