transport managment

hi all good morning!

can anybody explain me what is exactly tranport managment in sap and how it works in the sap implementaion?

how they integrated all application (abap proagrams, mm sd, fi and pp devlped objects) which r developed in developing server in to productions system.

give me any meterial if u have please..
