Movements 701 and 702

can any one tell me use of movement tyoe 701 and 702

HI,

Movement Type 701 and 702 are used in Physical Inventory.

An organization carries out physical stock verification on periodic basis. It is carried out monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly. Based on physical stock, we compare it with the book balance and if things are mismatch with the book balance we increase/ reduce the stock accordingly with proper approval from the concern authorities.

When the physical inventory is greater than system stock movement 701 used (to increase the stock in books)

When the physical inventory is less than system stock movement 702 is used (to decrease the stock in the books)

T-code used mi01, mi04, mi07 etc.

These are the automaic Movement Types.....which will be automatically triggered during Physical Inventory of Unrestriced Stock materials....

For.eg.) In your company,As per your Ledger(Book Stock) Matrial "A"-100qty. is lying at Sto.Loc.P001 in Un-restricted stock. fpr that you want to carry out Physical inventory....For that,

1)First Create PI Document in T.Code:PI01 for that Plant-Sto.Location Combination...

2)Then you do the counting of that material-A....and that Exact Counting you enter in T.Code: PI04...

3) Now you post the difference in T.Code:PI07....

Now if your counting is Greater than the Book Stock....for eg. your countins is 110qty.then this excess 10qty. will be automatically adusted in 701 M.Type...that time.. The Stock acc. of material "A" - BSX will get Debited(+)

The GBB-INV acc. gets. Credited(-)

now....if Now if your counting is lesser than the Book Stock....for eg. your countins is 90qty.then this lesser 10qty. will be automatically adusted in 702 M.Type...that time.. The Stock acc. of material "A" - BSX will get Credited(-)

The GBB-INV acc. gets. Debited(+)

this physical inventory movt 701 used when physical stock> book stock ,and book stock is unrestricted

this physiacl inventory movt 702 used when physiacl stock<book stock,and if stock is unrestricted

Hi,

These are the IM Movement types (701-GR & 702-GI) for Physical Inventory.

For Physical Inventory Differences, we use 711 & 712 movement types.
