How to change the Valuation class of a material in MM02 -accounting.

Hi Sap gurus ,

I have a material that has a Valuation class X I need to change it to Y but when i try to change it in MM02, the Valuation class is automatically changing back to X and it gives me a message to check the error log .

The error log gives me an error saying that

Production order already exists

and shows me a list of the production orders that already exist.

Can anyone please explain the reason for the error and how i can change the valuation class in the MM02????

Hi

When you want to change the valuation class for any material, the material should not have any open transactions i.e. purchase order, planned order, production order, stock in current period, stock in previous period.

First you clear all production orders.

Use transaction COHV and choose massprocessing or CORM

It gives an error for a few orders "System status TECO is active" do u know how i can process these orders???????
