Will there be intellisense (suggestions / code completion while writing code) in the SAP Web IDE ( http://192.168.10.221:8000/sap/hana/ide/editor/) in the future for any or all of the languajes used (javascript with the sapui5 libraries, xs engine code and so)?
For the .xsjs / .js / and other file types...?
Otherwise would we get intellisense using the offline IDE as you provided?
Eclipse + SAPUI5 Tools for Eclipse
https://tools.hana.ondemand.com/#sapui5
And in case of using the Eclipse ide, would it be possible to connect to the SAP HANA repository as the web ide and SAP HANA Studio does in order to manipulate the packages directly? (Instead of developing offline and then importing the package to sap, dont know exactly how right now...)
Hi Vangelis,
There is code completion available in SAP HANA Web-based Development Workbench, the following message is talking about it (the answer comes from the owner of HANA development tools):
https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3784430
The previous thread it is also explaining the difference between Web Workbench and WebIDE.
In short Web Workbench will become WebIDE in HANA 2.0 and therefore both HANA On Premise and SAP Cloud Platform will share the same tool and will be called WebIDE (not yet there 100% but soon).
As you find out while using WebIDE on SAP Cloud Platform there is intellisense for SAPUI5 code, the following videos show it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNKeOQgBHxI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RorUcfUFOTA
You can find documentation on WebIDE for SCP code completion capabilities on the following pages:

Thanks for the answer,
So if i understood correctly there is not code completion in the on premise sap development workbech that we are working with in our hana 1.0 system ( http://192.168.10.221:8000/sap/hana/ide/editor/), I am right?
And in order to work with webide as it is hosted on sap cloud platform we would need to pay some type of subscription i imagine, but there wouldnt be debug support and other things present until version 2 when SAP unifies both tools? :S
Hi Vangelis,
WebIDE is not only running on SAP Cloud Platform but also on SAP HANA On Premise installations since HANA 1.0 SPS12.
Best version is the one that is released with HANA 2.0 and the one in SAP Cloud Platform.
For using SAP Cloud Platform you can create a Trial account so you can see how it looks like and start developing. Just go to the following link and create your trial account:

Hope it helps,
Trinidad.
