SMP Login Error when Afaria unavailable

We have an issue with using the SMP Kapsel login plugin when our Afaria server is down. We get this error - 'ERR_SET_AFARIA_CREDENTIAL_FAILED'.

We would like to remove any dependancy between SMP and Afaria. Is there any way to use the SMP login plugin and avoid the Afaria dependancy?

Thank You

    Hi Riaz,

I don't know how should it react when it is already used, so please first try it with a test environment.

The reason why the application fails is because the logon plugin gets its settings from the Afaria server. There's a file called MAFLogonManagerOptions and it has an option keyMAFUseAfaria. That should be set to No.

You can read more about it here: Preparing the Hybrid SDK (Kapsel) Application for Afaria Provisioning

or here: 2169165 - iOS Kapsel app launches the Afaria Client and stalls

Let us know if it works. If it would not work in this way, then I think it's only possible if you delete the app, then modify the keyMafUseAfaria option and then send the app out again.

    • Hi Akos

Thank you for the response and information.

I am unable to to find the MAFLogonManagerOptions.plist file in my project. We are running an Android project with SMP SDK version kapsel-plugin-logon 3.9.7 "Logon".

Is the reason i cant find the file perhaps because of the version of the logon plugin we are using?
