Document Series already in use error

Dear Experts,

I am trying to update an AR Invoice from FY15-16, I need to update an UDF, for that I unlocked the Posting Period of Aug 2015 and set period Indicator on DEFAULT. Then I try to update AR Document Numbering Series with Period Indicator similar to current period as DEFAULT & get Error *Seies Already in Use, XXXX [Message 3535-9]*.

My SAP B1 version is 9.2 PL 08 Hotfix. In 8.82 Version I was able to update Document Series period indicators.

Please suggest how to rectify this.

Any help will be appreciable.
