Dear All ,
pl throw some light on diff between contract & sched. agreement.i know about contract is that it is a long term agrement between vendor & serv. reciever & a Release order is made wrt this contract then serv entry is done as per the sevices rcvd .

Hi,
Apart from that the major difference is contract will have time dependent conditions, where as for sch agreement depends on the doc type.
Further in contract every time we have to issue new order(contract release order) but for sch agreements we will issue one time sch line doc for one time and every time we will update int he sch line doc.
In sch agreement with release strategy the controller will have time leverage to alter the requirements.

DIFFERNECE b/w them is u do not have the facility to use some of the item categories in schedule agreement which are mentioned in contract (ex. material unknown)
main differnce is which u already know is that contract is created just as to ensure that vendor will supply the required quantity in a particular time frame but if u can not forecast your requirement for the material in question then u will be going for contract otherwise u have to go for schedule agreement
