Unable to access application /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS42/exe/jlaunch

I have a SAP System which has AS-ABAP installed.

I am in the process of isntalling java add in . I am getting the following error .Pls help

Unable to access application /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS42/exe/jlaunch

I logged in as root user and also as <SID>adm , but did not work

Please help
