suggestion needed for process improvement


Currently in our SAP system, in order to payout an employees vacation bank hours, we have to look up each employee's hourly rate and then put both the hours and the rate in the system.

I would like the system to allow us to put the hours and mechanically go and pull the hourly rate from basic pay infotype. This becomes very time consuming to do particularly every year when our company employees relating to payroll area X request to have their carryover balances paid out.

any suggestions are appreciated .
