process chain

Hi,

I need to create a process chain to extract data from flat file to ods & from there to cube...But i am getting this error..

InfoPackage ZPAK_D2KXBNBH0H642PFEQHHFAHYO0 is generated; NOT able to be used as loading variant.(for loading from ods to cube)...Can anyone help me in this?????

Check your flat file must be on Appliction server not on Local machine.

Check with T.code AL11 to store flat file into you Application Server Directory. Give the name of any Director in infopackage (Select radio button Application server) with your flat file name, it will create your your file into mentioned directory of Application server.

Also using t.code AL11 you can create own directory to store flat file on Application server. See tab Configure with T. code AL11.

Hi,

Your error message says "InfoPackage ZPAK_D2KXBNBH0H642PFEQHHFAHYO0 is generated; NOT able to be used as loading variant" . I feel the first step will be to check this infopackage (ZPAK_D2KXBNBH0H642PFEQHHFAHYO0) once. See if all the parameters are properly defined including file path, scheduling, destiantion etc. Once done save the package again.

Then go to the chain and remove and add the same package in the chain. Check, Activate and schedule the chain.

this may work.

when file is in local machine u can't create process chain to load that file. so keep that in application server and try.

If you want to schedule a flat file load the file has to be in Application server. Place the file in Appl Server and run the process chain.

Hi,

Go to RSA1 - infosource - find the infopackage .. check that infoopackage has saved or not ? also check the datatarget tab and processing tab in the infopackage..
