BI report portal theme

Hi ALL,

Please correct me if i am wrong. From Nw04s, the only way to control the styles of a BWreport is through portal theme. can you please confirm this?

I have SAP Portal with BI addons installed on the same j2ee instance and the report is published and i was able to call the BW report directly using the link [see below, i didnt create an iview, it is using bi.bex iview internally]

http://servername:port/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_...

and in the portal themes section, i created a theme, modified the master rules correspondingly to use my theme and changed the following elements under "Component-Specific Styles "

Application

Buttons

Cursor

Labels and Fields

Links

Text

Groups

Lists

Tables

Tree

BI Web Reports 2.0

BI Web Reports 3.0

but now when i run the above link through portal, logging as myself, it doesnt reflect those colors.

am i doing wrong.

if i click on the view source of the web page, it is referring to this style sheet.

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/irj/portalapps/com.sap.portal.design.urdesigndata/themes/portal/MYTheme/ur/ur_ie6.css?version=xyz">

if you notice from the above, it is using mytheme.

it still shows the same SAP standard colors.. could you please help.

Thanks

Hi,

You are right. Most of the display settings in web environment are global settings in portal (theme), which affect all templates etc running in web.

Regarding your problem, I dont have a system right now where I can try this and check myself unfortunately.

If you solve it yourself, please do update the thread.

HI Gupta,

I did change the styles of components in Themes that I defined in previous message, but they are not reflecting in the BI iView in Portal when I call the iview directly using the URL. So, could someone who has worked already on these let me know, if i need to do some additional configuration.

ofcourse i added the theme to desktop and assigned to my user id in the master rule collection from portal perspective.

when you say most of the styles is done in Portal, what about the remaining... what are the other possibilities that you were talking about?

Thanks

In many web item properties in BI WAD, you have a group 'internal display'; you get some display options there.

Hi

Did you ever manage to solve your problem here?

I am experiencing something similar, where I change the colours (for example) in the theme editor, but nothing seems to update in the portal display.

I have closed the browser, deleted browser cache ... still shows the old colours.

Cheers,

Andrew

From EP7.0 theme of the BI is not component specific. Please go throught the link

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/45/ef6009b37f3482e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm. we solved our problem through changing the colors of the complex table for the exception colors.
