Skip SAP SUM Phase

Hi Team

We are stuck with a upgrade of a SAP PI 7.11 to SP 17 .

ABAP is in status MAIN_PROFEND/GETSYNC_MODPROF_STARTED & upgraded to Sp17 .We are stuck in java upgrade where java is about to restart the Java stack before the deployment can start ( Both Java & Abap stack are split now ).

SUM fails to restart the system java stack. When we are doing it manually, its again restarting all process.

Can you please guide us how can we skip this step ( SKIP the SUM phase to start SCS & java ) so that we can manually start system & continue with upgrade

Yes please check why Java is failing to restart. Check SUM logs as per KBA ##1838153

and also check the guided answer in KBA ##2490093

I would firstly investigate why SUM is failing to restart the instance.
