User is not finding any workitem in his inbox

Hello Experts,

I am facing an issue in travelmanagement workflow, Where the manager is getting a, saying that he has travel requets to approve. When he go and check his inbox nothing is existing in his inbox. Could you please tell me the reason for the this problem.
