GRC 10.1 HR Triggers Initiate Template Based Requests

Hello All,

I'm currently working on configuring HR triggers for one of my clients, as part of which we have multiple HR triggers configured for multiple scenarios Hire, Term, Promote and a few others based on region and cost center.

We would like to assign default roles to the users based on the HR triggers, we have explored the option of Default Roles settings in SPRO and config parameters (1302, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013). But our default roles are not universal and the users require a different set of default roles in different systems depending on their grade in the business.

We would like to see if we can utilize the template based request for this, Mapping each HR trigger to each template request and have the default roles added in thru it? Please let us know if it is possible or if anyone has tried it?

Dear Narsimha,

I tried similar scenarios with no luck. The only "workaround" was by "misusing" one of the fields that the default roles can be triggered on, e.g. location. Manipulate the input of the location field and set up the role assignments based on that field. Surely, you can use other fields than the location (for me that's the only field that wasn't used).
