Problems with using Webdynpro Formatted Text Edit with Copy Paste function.

When you copy paste a block of text from MS Word or MS Outlook into a Webdynpro Formatted text edit control, behavior is not at all what is expected. Spaces between words may disappear or extra spaces might appear or extra special characters might appear randomly. This is well documented in various SAP notes. Also SAP has withdrawn support from copy pasting into a Formatted Text Edit box in Webdynpro. I was wondering if there is an alternative to the standard Formatted Text Edit Box that can be used directly in or in conjunction with a Webdynpro framework. Suggestions of any third party tools are also welcome.
