Hi All,
Can anyone help in providing the steps for performing an Audit of SAP Data Archiving Activity?
I have searched the forums but not found any clues...
Help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Kaushik.
Hi Kaushik,
I can give you clue but i have not worked on the audit requirement.
However, before archiving FI, CO, MM, SD, PP and so on data from the database, we will first extract the data required for auditing. For Audit purpose we are having a tool know as DART. Requirement for auditing is based on client and country.
If start studying or working on DART then your question will be answered.
Reward if it helps.
-Thanks,
Ajay

Hi Kausik,
If you want to audit the archived data which is stored in external storage system e.g IXOS, Documentum,SER etc. You can do it from both SAP side as well as from external system side.
From SAP side Go to SE16 give the major table name of the archiving object ,check the no. of entries. Now archive the data and again chq it in SE16 you can find the result. Or you go to storage system and chq the data thr.
Let me know if you need to audit some thing else.

Hi Sirfraz
I want to know the procedure to audit the "archiving process".
ie once the archiving activity is done with, how does one audit it...
I'm aware of auditing of the SAP data after an archiving phase.
But the requirement is to outline the steps of auditing after each phase of archiving... from a project management perspective....
Thanks,
Kaushik.
