In ESS system is not picking up the Leave Quota

Hi Experts

I am using the ECC 6.0, EP 6.0. and using the standard SAP leave workflow 12300111 for leave approvals.

When I want to see the quota in ESS it shows the perfect number of leave quota as in SAP R3.

But when I am trying to apply for a leave it says" Attendance/absence type 0200 (Casual leave) require minimum of 1 Attendance/absence days".

What could be the problem??

Plz suggest.....

Thanks

Sheetal

Hi there,

I am one of the people with issues on ESS and may be similar to yours or you may have some idea of where i should go to fix my problem.

I have leave balance reflecting on ESS and it is not the same as on IT2006/R3. The balance on ESS is a total of 3 monthly accrual i.e. Ja-March(current date).

Our company acruues leave momthly at 1.83333 which is 22 day a year and the quota is allocated upfornt to employee by runninh time evlauation up to the last month of the accrual period i.e Jan-December.

Now the leave balance on It2006 is 22 days, and the leave balance on Ess is 3,65 days. is it possible that i can make the balance on ESS to reflect the same number as on IT2006/R3/

Thanks in Kind

We had this problem to. The time quota was correct in IT2006, but wrong in portal Leave screen. In fact the portal quota only = IT2006 on the last day of the month when accruals were available in the clusters!

The cause is a functional module called HR_GET_QUOTA_DATA which gets parameters from a BADI in the config: ESS > Service specific settings > Working time > TIme accounts > BADI

When the parameter MOD=B or C (in ~GET_MOD_AND QTYPE) then it gets quota data from the time clusters. Try set MOD=D in the BADI and that way it gets data from IT2006.

I wish i could take the credit for this fix , but thanks Siddarth for this info.
