Webi 4.1 Result from another query disabled for BICS connection

Hi,

I have one requirement where I need to create WebI report using BICs connection from 2 BEx queries as source. One query is of Sales Order and another is of Delivery. In report, we need to show Sales Order data with Delivery Data, joining Sales Order Document and item from both the sources. So I have created 2 dataprovider i.e 1.Sales order dataprovider and 2. Delivery dataprovider. But the option for "Result from another query" is showing disabled in Delivery dataprovider.

Below is the screenshot of the dataprovider where the option is showing disabled.

The current version of BO we are using is 4.1 and Support Pack 7.

Need to know whether the issue is with the version or there is any solution ?

This option is not yet enabled.You have two options to achieve this.

1) Create individual queries in webi and at report level use merged dimension to display data from both the queries.

2) create multisource IDT universe on DSO/CUBE/Multiprovider and then this option will be enabled in the webi.

Thanks for your reply and suggestion.

Regarding to your 1st point, it would be challenging for me in my scenario as before merging the 2 dataprovider, I have to set some filter on Delivery dataprovider as the records are huge in size and also giving Delivery date condition will not show those Sales Order which was not delivered or have delivered after the date range, that's the reason we were looking for Sales Order number should be taken from Sales Order dataprovider using "Result from another query" option.

Your 2nd point is the option that will definitely work, but this task is to modify the Universe 🙂

However, thanks to confirm that this option is not enabled for OLAP connection and we have to wait until it get fixed in upcoming version.
