Absence Quota Accrual Bi-weekly with 240hrs as capping

Hello Friends,

i am struck at scenario as below.

Employee gets 5 hrs. Quota for every 15 days worked

Quota generation as below

1st – 15th on every 16th of the month = 5hrs

16th – 28th/30th/31st on every 1st of the next month = 5hrs

Problem:

  • 1)System doesn’t prorates the quota for mid-period joiner
  • 2)Capping for the quota is restricted at 240, doesn’t allows to accrue even after quota is used
  • Example as below:
  • In January opening balance carry forward from previous year = 235 hrs.
  • Time evaluation for 1-15th run on 16th Jan, quota accrued – 5hrs, total = 240 hrs.
  • 2nd period run on 1st Feb for 16th – 31st Jan, quota generated – 5hrs, but accrued = 0
  • As capping of 240 hrs. reached (ANZHL-KVERB = 240)
  • Employee utilizes 240 hrs. immediately by taking leave
  • 3rd period for 1st – 15th Feb run on 16th Feb, quota to be accrued is 5 hrs. again.
  • Problem is system doesn’t allows to accrue the quota, as it has reached 240 count, but technically employee has utilized his quota and balance is again 0, so business requirement is to generate the new quota and it needs to be accrued.

Hi Dhiren,

Transfer time in selection screen is ' Upon accrual' - system will tarnfer the quota only after 15th of every month - if you want this to be done at the start of hiring only, choose ' Date type'.

Issue : Problem is system doesn’t allows to accrue the quota, as it has reached 240 count, but technically employee has utilized his quota and balance is again 0 - You need to go with writing PCRs, I do not see possibility to get it done via standard config as you accrual time is semi- monthly however validatity of quota is for an year.

Hi,

Effectively you want to cap the balance at 240 hours not the entitlement.

For this type of scenario we utilised

Enhancement HRPTIM03 Component EXIT_SAPLHRLV_005 to modify TQTACC-LVMAX_ENT

we allow employees accrue up to (max entitlement + leave take YTD)
